Biography
Mehrdad Jafari is a contemporary Iranian visual artist whose haunting illustrations dissect the modern crisis of reflection. Born in the coastal town of Behshar in 1984, Jafari developed an early obsession with the liminal space between consciousness and void - a preoccupation that would later define his artistic practice.
Working primarily in mixed media, oil, and installation, Jafari creates morbid yet meticulously
detailed illustrations that serve as:
- Autopsies of lost human reflection
- Blueprints for redefined existence
- Cognitive mirrors showing only what's missing
