*Pooneh Oshidari Presents LAND ESCAPE at Kunsten Nacht Hasselt, Belgium

Artist Pooneh Oshidari presented her solo exhibition LAND ESCAPE as part of Kunsten Nacht Hasselt in Belgium. Hosted at FAX-LAB, the exhibition brought together works developed during her recent artist residency in Belgium, offering audiences insight into the evolution of her practice within a new cultural and geographical context.

The exhibition featured a selection of drawings, monotypes, and mixed-media works that reflect Oshidari’s ongoing engagement with themes of homeland, memory, displacement, and resilience. Created during her residency period, the works respond to both personal experience and broader social realities, translating emotional landscapes into a poetic visual language.

Through LAND ESCAPE, Oshidari explores the idea of place as both a physical territory and an inner state. The exhibition title itself suggests a dual reading—landscape and escape—pointing to the complex relationship between belonging, distance, and imagination. Presented within the framework of Kunsten Nacht Hasselt, the project connected her artistic journey in Belgium with an international audience and highlighted the role of residency programs in fostering new creative dialogues.
