The Jean-Michel Attal Collection is pleased to announce the acquisition of a work by Iranian photographer and artist Atoosa Alebouyeh, currently presented in the exhibition Becoming.
Presented by Ithaque in Paris in collaboration with AVA Gallery, Becoming brings together two major photographic series, Me in My Point of View (2016) and The Unstable Face (2020). Together, the works explore the construction of identity, embodied memory, and the intimate spaces we inhabit.
In Me in My Point of View, Alebouyeh constructs an interior space shaped by habits, fears, and desires. Through self-portraiture, she examines chosen solitude, introspection, and the invisible boundaries that individuals create around themselves.
In The Unstable Face, the artist turns her attention to a recurring physical transformation associated with her menstrual cycle. By making this intimate experience the subject of her work, Alebouyeh offers a sensitive exploration of the body, its transformations, and the ways in which it is represented.
